چکیده
Hydrogen production through methane dry reforming holds the promise of lowering greenhouse gases, that is CO2 and CH4, concentrations. Herein, Ca-, Cr-, Ga- Gd-promoted lanthana-zirconia–supported Ni catalysts are investigated characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman, infrared UV-vis spectroscopy, CH4-temperature programmed surface reaction cyclic reduction-desorption experiment. All promoted catalyst systems had high constant hydrogen yield (>70%) due to pronounced reoxidation capacity reduced ‘NiO species strongly interacted with support’ oxygen replenishment CO2. The presence mixed oxide regeneration up optimum level in Gd, as well Cr-promoted catalyst, outperformed (80% initially) than other promotors, Ca Ga. In long run (440 min 33 h), system performed better H2 remained ~79% smallest energy gap between valance conduction band, Ni-Cr interaction for wide range CH4 decomposition chromate profound carbon deposit oxidation.

A small-size gasification unit is improved through process optimization to simulate industrial United Gas Improvement Company gasification. It finds that the reaction temperature has important impacts on semicoke catalyzed methane gas mixture. The addition of water vapor can enhance the catalytic activity of reforming, which is due to the fact that addition of water vapor not only removes carbo...

In this study, nickel catalysts supported on mesoporous nanocrystalline gamma alumina promoted by various strontium contents were prepared by the impregnation method and employed in dry reforming of methane (DRM). The prepared catalysts were characterized using N2 adsorption (BET), temperature-programmed reduction and oxidation (TPR,) and oxidation (TPDTPO), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scannin...

Article history: Received 11 October 2015 Received in revised form 2 December 2015 Accepted 15 December 2015 Available online 17 December 2015 The dry reforming of methane (DRM) utilizes carbon dioxide (CO2) as the oxidizing agent in order to produce synthesis gas. Catalyst deactivation via coking, oxidation, and sintering has stymied the industrialization of catalysts for the DRM. Here, we uti...
متن کاملSyngas from CO2 Reforming of Coke Oven Gas: synergetic effect of activated carbon / Ni-γAl2O3 Catalyst
The CO2 reforming of coke oven gas for the production of synthesis gas has been studied over an activated carbon, an in-lab prepared Ni/Al2O3 catalyst and physical mixtures of both materials in different proportions (AC+Ni) at 800 oC. It was found that there are two possible coexisting reaction pathways: the direct dry reforming of methane (decomposition of methane followed by gasification of t...
